The James Bond Files ~
Robert Short
In April 2023, on his radio program Flashback, which
aired online over the internet radio station KSAV, Wesley Britton
continued a “James Bond Avalanche” to celebrate the
70 years of Agent 007. Featured were several authors, actors,
behind-the-scenes folks, and fans of the world of James Bond.
The series continues on Monday, April 4, 2023, with an interview
with technical advisor Bob Short, who has worked on a number of films
in Hollywood, including the made-for-TV movie The Return of the Man
from U.N.C.L.E. (1983).
Did you know producer Michael Sloan had George Lazenby in mind
when he created ”The Equalizer“? What’’s the
inside story to George driving that silver Aston-Martin DB-5 with the
“JB” license plate in the U.N.C.L.E.
movie?
Bob Short takes you behind the scenes with the unique story of how
one TV revival came to the small screen during the year of “The
Battle of the Bonds” when Roger Moore (Octopussy)
and Sean Connery (Never Say Never Again) hit the big
screens while the other Bond – George Lazenby – did his
return in the MFU TV movie!
Also on the program was author and Bond fan
Mark O’Connell.
The interview is available as a podcast on Wesley Britton’s
