In March 2023, on his radio program Flashback, which
aired online over the internet radio station KSAV, Wesley Britton
continued a “James Bond Avalanche” to celebrate the
70 years of Agent 007. Featured were several authors, actors,
behind-the-scenes folks, and fans of the world of James Bond.
The series continued on Monday, March 20, 2023, with an interview
with actress Trina Parks, best known to Bond fans as “Thumper”
in Diamonds are Forever (1971).
With her cohort “Bambi”, played by Lola Larson, she
gave Sean Connery’s James Bond quite a welcome!
In this installment of Flashback, Ms. Parks discussed
working with Sean Connery, being the first black woman to feature in a Bond
film, and her memorable dance/karate moves and nearly drowning on set.
She’ also talked about her singing career – and shared a sample of
her singing as a bonus.
Also on the program was actress Max
Vesterhalt, who worked with Roger Moore in For Your Eyes
Only (1981).
